During these challenges times with despair front and centered on the publicity of injustices in the US against African Americans can be very overwhelming and heart wrenching to the masses world wide. There is an opportunity when the light is shown on the perils of injustice. Many times we have an unhealthy coping mechanism the supersedes our endurance of societal travesty. This creates an unhealthy balance. It is important to release our pains and avoid negating our feelings. In effort to remain uplifted in a heap of despair and call to action, we must acknowledge our hurt, pain, and echo it in the call to justice. We must not be afraid to identify the inequalities explicitly. We've witness the torture and inhumane murders of Black men, women, and children for centuries. Yet, the society has not acknowledge these travesties. In acknowledging the inhumane treatment, we might propel the action of the justice system to address factors contributing to inhumane treatment by the majority and make some structural changes to decimate or eliminate the number of Blacks unjustly and inhumanely murdered by position of authority known as the police. Stay uplifted. Turn to your source of satisfaction and encouragement during these times.
Create your mood of happiness wherever you are! This year we are saturated with repetitive echoes of universal challenges. We can take moments daily to focus on happiness. This happiness may include reminiscing on photos from years ago, taking a walk, reorganizing a room, starting a new project or changing something to a color-coded feature. Growing and cooking food made me happy. My happiness activities were gardening, visiting ethnic food stores and cooking new dishes, and decluttering the closet these past few months.
