There is power in reading old messages written by yourself. These messages can provide affirmations that solidify your past and present perspective. For this, I am uplifted today. #affirmations #upliftedtoday
Above is the tweet I wrote today.
The tweet formed out of decluttering and organizing several of my email accounts and text messages. What is decluttering of email accounts and text messages?
Simply, it is looking at old messages that are not necessary to keep for documenting purposes. Choosing to delete them is best to avoid the messages consuming storage. That's a long way to explaining deletion.
This post is not about deleting old messages. It is about looking at past communications between you and an individual or organization (about 5, 10, or 15 years ago) and comparing them with recent messages within one year or 2-3 years ago.
There are several messages that stood out. This message resonated with me the most.
Friends are people who are there during the joyful times, the struggle, the meh moments and victories. May you be victorious tomorrow.
This message affirmed the innate nature of one to care and be an encourager! When I reviewed similar messaging from 10 to 13 years the same theme resonated in my communication. Uplifted today was created out of an energy to be an upliftment to others. We know the walk in life isn't always like a bed of roses. We do know that the blossoming energy and lovely smell of a rose is soothing on the bumpy tenuous road of life. Be uplifted through joyful times, the struggle, the meh moments and victories.
Peace.
Create your mood of happiness wherever you are! This year we are saturated with repetitive echoes of universal challenges. We can take moments daily to focus on happiness. This happiness may include reminiscing on photos from years ago, taking a walk, reorganizing a room, starting a new project or changing something to a color-coded feature. Growing and cooking food made me happy. My happiness activities were gardening, visiting ethnic food stores and cooking new dishes, and decluttering the closet these past few months.
